Polyurethane Insulation Services in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan

At Prairie insulation we know your home’s comfort is priority, and we know how conscience our Moose Jaw homeowners are of winter energy bills. That’s why we use Canadain-made spray foam for our local customers.

Enerlab’s Enerthane ECO is made in Quebec, and specially formulated to out perform others in cold Canadian winters. This foam is a 2lbs density closed cell SPF, and it creates an airtight seal in the cavities or on the surfaces it is sprayed to. The key to our foam is as the temperature drops, our foam’s efficiency increases.

We serve the local areas surrounding Moose Jaw, and occasionally into Regina and northern areas of Saskatchewan. Our spray foam services range from basements to attics, and interior and exterior. Agricultural jobs and commercial buildings have also been part of our previous work. We’re able to spray it all!

Our Moose Jaw Spray Foam Services

In Moose Jaw, I’m proud to offer a complete range of spray foam insulation services tailored to both residential and commercial needs.

About our Spray Foam Material and Installation Process

Our spray foam process involves visiting your home or business to assess the insulation. We can provide a thermal image assessment, then determine the areas where a proper seal may be needed. When we arrive to install the insulation, we’ll need space for our equipment and material, and if we are spraying foam we will require 24hrs to be out of the home or business for the foam to cure.

Our Attic Spray Foam Insulation Service

Attics are the biggest culprit to heat loss, sometimes over 40% of heat is loss through the attic area. If your home has condensation on the ceiling or on the underside of the roof, it’s possible your attic insulation is not sufficient, or that the attic is not ventilated properly.

Our Basement Spray Foam Insulation Service

Spray Foaming your basement can make a huge difference on your heating bills as well because it’ll reduce heat loss and better control the moisture by sealing the concrete. Oftentimes mold can grow in basements due to its dark and damp climate. Before we spray foam we ask that dehumidifiers are run to draw the moisture out of the concrete and corners. We also need to have the basement walls free of mold. It the walls are damp and have mold, there is a high chance of the foam not making a proper bond and eventually delaminating from the wall.

Our Wall & Roof Spray Foam Insulation Services

Using spray foam on your exterior walls is a great way to insulate your home.Spray foam has a high ROI over time. It fills cracks, gaps, and voids in your wall construction. Spray foam is also an air and vapour barrier because as it adheres to the wall’s surface.

Generally walls need a minimum of R12, but with 2lbs of foam at 2-inches thick you’re beyond that R-value. Spray foam excels in comparison to batt insulation:

  • Self-seals, no drafts, water and air-tight
  • It’s Long-Term Thermal Performance increases in colder temperatures
  • It has the highest inch to r-value ratio, meaning more value for your money
Our primary insulation service provided is spray polyurethane foam because of its ability to be the all-around solution – and because it truly outperforms all other insulation materials.

Common Questions

Why do I have to leave my home during spray foam installation?

Spray foam is made up of two parts, a resin side and an ISO side. When the two come together they create foam, and it takes up to 24hrs for the foam to be ventilated and off-gassed, and become completely inert.

Can spray foam kill mold?

It may kill the mold, but it’s very likely the spray foam will delaminate from the wall or concrete because the mold issue was not originally resolved. Make sure the substrate is free of cracks for moisture, dampness, and free of mold or debris.

How does your spray foam compare to others?

Our foam is Canadian-made and formulated for very cold climates as compared to other foams which are made for a more moderate or mild climate. Regardless, spray foam is the best choice over any other insulation material.
